I was invited to an amazing bloggers night in for a fun night of soap making + blogger bonding. The shop owner, Janelle, was kind enough to turn over her crafting room to a few of us bloggers so we could gab + learn how to make some soap from one of the best.

I love doing crafty things so the Washburne Soap Making class was right up my ally! Scott, owner of Washburne Soap, taught us the basics {and then some}. We learned to cater the soap ingredients to specific skin needs + the science behind soap.
Scott giving us the run down of things.
Taken from my Instagram – I love the inspirational painting hanging on the wall.

Since we couldn’t take our soap home right away Scott was sweet enough to gift us these soaps from his very own soap company. It works as amazing as it looks. My hubby loves it.
Thanks to Sahily {Pretty In Pigment} for cutting up my soap + swapping me a bar of her soap. A few more days + it will all be ready for use. Right now it’s sitting in a glass jar on my bathroom vanity.
A close up. It smells super amazing. I used an oil mix called Pixie Dust.
I’d love to take another one of these classes, maybe something more advanced, with my husband. We both love doing hands-on things + this is a really great way to change up date night.
